On March 14, 2014, the Schuyler Fire Company an Schuyler Ambulance were dispatched to a snowmobile mva with injuries.  Firefighters and emergency medical providers worked diligently to free the rider, who was then air-lifted to a local hospital.  Schuyler was assisted by Frankfort FD, NYS Police, Town of Frankfort Police, Mercy Flight Central. 

At 23:06 Thursday night, Schuyler Fire was dispatched to a possible structure fire at Creek Road and Carder Lane Road.  Initial arriving units found light smoke conditions throughout the house.  Crews from Engine 150 began a thorough inspection using the thermal imagine camera while other crews from Engine 170 stretched a 1.75" hose line to the front door.  The investigation found an overloaded extension cord to be the cause of the smoke conditions.  Units returned in se...

At 12:06, Schuyler Fire and Schuyler Ambulance were dispatched to a 1 vehicle MVA with minor injuries in the vicinity of Newport Road and Skyview Lane in West Schuyler.  First arriving units arrived to find an SUV off the road into a ditch.  No injuries were reported and Schuyler Fire assisted with traffic control until State Police Units could arrive.

Around 9pm Schuyler responded to a one car MVA on Cosby Manor Rd with entrapment. Extrication was provided by Schuyler and mutual aid assistance from Frankfort Center. Around 6pm a fire was reported at the snack shack. Schuyler crews arrived requesting mutual aid from Frankfort, Frankfort Center, East Herkimer, Deerfield and MOVAC. The building sustained heavy fire and smoke damage. No injuries were reported and the incident was terminated around midnight.

Schuyler and Newport responded to the scene of an MVA around 7am. An Amish buggy and van had been involved. Very minor Injuries were reported. The horse pulling the buggy was walked to a near by home for safety and was reportedly ok as well.

A tractor trailer on Millers Grove had hit some overhead lines causing a telephone pole to snap become entangled on all the wires. The occupants were trapped in the vehicle until National Grid arrived and cut the power. No injuries were reported during this incident to anyone. The scene took about 2 hours to mitigate.
