This afternoon around 1400hrs, Schuyler Fire and Schuyler Ambulance were dispatched to an MVA involving a motorcycle in the area of 1300 State Route 5 (Herkimer Road). Initial reports from dispatchers included possible serious injuries. A helicopter was placed on standby as a precaution. Ambulance 616 and Car 6 responded and treated the injured patients. Mutual Aid was received from Kunkel Ambulance, who also transported a second patient involved in the MVA. Crews remained on scene to assist and returned in service at 1430.

At 2340 hours on August 25th, Schuyler Fire was dispatched to a possible structure fire on Graham Road in the Town of Schuyler. Around 9pm Schuyler responded to a one car MVA on Cosby Manor Rd with entrapment. Extrication was provided by Schuyler and mutual aid assistance from Frankfort Center. A tractor trailer on Millers Grove had hit some overhead lines causing a telephone pole to snap become entangled on all the wires. The occupants were trapped in the vehicle until National Grid arrived and cut the power. No injuries were reported during this incident to anyone. The scene took about 2 hours to mitigate.
